They then bought this 1986 Camaro and turned it into a race car.  They raced in E.T. races and finally in the Super Gas class of Sportsman racing which took them all over the United States competing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ben raced in the NHRA Western Division 5. Ford drove the car to victory in the first and only race he ever drove.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That victory proved to be a turning point for Ford because it brought him fame and also financial backing for future business ventures.
